From warinangola.com: Electronic Workshop (4 Elec Wksp) [Afr: 4 Elektronieae Werkplaes (4 Elek Wkp)] was established as 4 Radar Maintenance Sqn on 1 Oct 1964, in Youngsfield, to carry out all maintenance and repair on anti-aircraft radar and computers. Its history can be traced back to 1948 with 16 Anti-Aircraft Depot SAAF at the Castle.which was then moved to Youngsfield, and in 1950 the personnel joined 67 Base Workshop Technical Service Centre. In 1957 the unit was re-designated Radar Maintenance Sqn and was attached to the Anti-Aircraft Centre at Youngsfield, again re-designated as 4 Radar Maintenance Sqn in 1964. Its name was officially changed to 4 Electronic Workhop in 1972 when it became an independent and self-accounting.unit. In 1983 it maintained all 35mm Anti-Aircraft systems. The unit was disbanded in 1990/1 and 4 CMI Support Unit took over the 4 Electronic Workshop insignia.
