A cased Victorian carving set comprised of a carving knife, fork and knife sharpener. Each piece has a stag horn handle with solid hallmarked silver finials and collars. These bear the hallmarks for Sheffield, 1894 and the maker's mark for Cooper Brothers.
Note : The carving knife blade does show some wear. The case is somewhat worn with the lid separated from the base. The overall condition of the set is good considering it's 130 years with the handles excellent. Great set, whether for functionality or display.
The Cooper Brothers were active from 1885 to 1900 (registered Aug,1878) at Don Plate Works, Bridge Street, Sheffield, England.
