Vintage Cast Iron And Brass `Salter Family Scale No.45`. Excellent Condition.

A vintage scale by Salter with ornate cast metal body and brass face. It is accompanied by it's original brass bowl. The face is stamped "SALTER FAMILY SCALE No.45" and "MADE IN ENGLAND, 5kg x 25g, NOT LEGAL FOR TRADE".
The condition is exceptionally good and it functions as it should. This scale has either been very well cared for or hardly used.

Salter was founded in the late 1700s in Bilston, England, by Richard Salter. In 1897, Salter invented the first personal weighing scale.
