A fine Khotimora kukri with turned wood and brass handle and fine quality, heavy steel blade. The scabbard is of embossed silver sheet or white metal with traditional Buddhist decoration. It has a belt loop to the back. The kukri is accompanied by the chakmak and karda knives. There are two small pockets at the back of the kukri scabbard to hold a pair of small knives. One of these, the chakmak, is for sharpening the Gurkha kukri (or khukuri) and can be used with a flint to create a spark. The other, the karda, is used as a penknife for skinning animals. In excellent vintage condition. Note : Although this is a fully functional weapon, it was intended for ceremonial purposes, hence the smaller size. Please see images above for more detail.
Kothimora is a knife specially made for the retiring Gurkha or British Army Officers.
Length (kukri) : 22cm
