A superb Nepalese Ghurka kukri with turned wood and brass handle and inlaid silver decoration.  The blade is of fine, heavy steel and is engraved with Buddhist dragon and spirit world motifs.  The scabbard is of leather and brass with "Nepal" national symbol and regimental insignia. It has a belt loop to the back.  The kukri is accompanied by the chakmak and karda knives. There are two small pockets at the back of the kukri scabbard to hold a pair of small knives. The other, the karda, is used as a penknife for skinning animals.  In excellent vintage condition.  Please see images above for more detail.
